The BluesOdyssey

The Blues Odyssey are a Dublin-based international blues collective fronted by Brazilian vocalist and bassist Nil Guimarães, a finalist on The Voice Brasil, and GRAMMY®-nominated guitarist, multi-platinum producer, and composer Julyo. Rounded out by Italian film composer Dario Rodighiero on keyboards, Brazilian percussionist Jhow, versatile saxophonist Mason, and American drummer Reo Odirile, the collective brings together six world-class musicians with careers spanning recording studios, festival stages, and film scores across the globe — forming a formidable live ensemble with an increasingly distinctive presence on the Dublin music scene and beyond.

Drawing inspiration from blues and roots artists including Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Samantha Fish and Larkin Poe, The Blues Odyssey deliver electrifying performances rooted in the traditions of Chicago blues, Texas blues, soul, and classic rhythm & blues, with a raw, authentic sound built on improvisation and the chemistry of six accomplished performers feeding off each other in real time, much to the delight of their diverse and growing fanbase.

With a co-headline performance alongside America's Got Talent finalist Steve Ray Ladson at Dublin's The Grand Social on 7 October 2026 and original material actively in development for future release, The Blues Odyssey are entering their next chapter with momentum continuing to build.
